“Gathered to his people” (Genesis 25:8,17)
This
phrase caught my attention. It brought to mind the words of Jesus – ” …
they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power
and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet
call, and they will gather His elect … from one end of heaven to the
other” (Matthew 24:30-31).
What a great and glorious future the Lord is preparing for His people!
We thank the Lord for what He done. We look forward, and we say, “The
best is yet to be” – “if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to
God through the death of His Son, much more surely, having been
reconciled, will we be saved by His life” (Romans 5:10).
