Leviticus 1:1-3:17 We may note the frequent recurrence of the phrase, āa soothing aroma to the Lordā (1:9, 13, 17: 2:2, 9, 12; 3:5, 16). The presence of the Lord is ālike a fragrance that fills the air.ā Not all people welcome the presence of the Lord. To some, it is āthe aroma of Christā, āa life-giving fragrance.ā To others, it is āa deadly fragranceā (2 Corinthians 2:14-16). We are to pray that our life ā in every part ā will be pleasing to the Lord. We are to pray that our life will bring glory to Him. This will involve our worship in the holy place.
