The ministry of Elisha was filled with the power of God. Elisha was
“the prophet”, “the man of God” (2 Kings 5:3,8). Before we can speak
and work for God, we must belong to Him. We must be the people of God
before we can be prophets for God. The power of God changes us. We
become “a new creation in Christ Jesus” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The power
of God equips us for service - “You shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes on you, and you shall be My witnesses” (Acts 1:8).
